Nature walks around Lyon...

Our friend and neighbor Celine has invited us to explore the countryside surrounding Lyon on several occasions (thank you so much, Celine!!). We've gone with her twice to beautiful little villages that are not accessible by train, and we've had an incredible time! It's amazing what nature can do for the soul.

Here are a few photos from a trip we took 2 weeks ago...

When we came home from this outing, the next day we found a tiny tick on Evan's arm. This resulted in Evan's first real visit to the doctor's office (for anything other than a checkup). He did great! He was much less scared than Mommy!

This was taken on one of our outings about a month ago.

I have a lot more photos of these little adventures of ours, and hopefully they will make it up on the blog sometime soon. Up next, Annecy!

Evan had his 3-month birthday this week. Hooray for Evan!
At the doctor's office, he weighed in at 7.4 kilos (16 lbs., 5 oz.).

Hey Kendra!
I see you savoring everyday you have in France. We received the card you sent us to the Lab; it was such a nice surprise to end our workweek.
I even showed it to Liz, and she said she checks your blog quite often.
Your Evan is incredibly adorable!
See you soon!

A tick! How dare that nasty creature attach himself to Evan! I'm glad he did well at the Dr.'s office though. Poor mommy, what a thing to go through. Yuck!
